- The new by-pass will officially be opening to the public this afternoon. The 24 million dollar project has been in the works for months, and will take traffic from highway 43 to 116th street. Eventually a second phase will continue from 116th street to Highway 43 west of the Airport. No time frame has been announced for that project.
- The City is looking for your input to help their branding exercise. They want to know what makes Grande Prairie, "Grande." Show it in pictures, words or whatever, on the page in the DHT or cityofgp.com
- Sexsmith Secondary School is representing the Peace on an international stage. Students from the school won the Alberta Envirothon, and will be heading the finals in Fresco California starting this weekend. The competition puts teams up against one another to learn and deal with sustainable resources and environmental management. They leave this afternoon for the competition starts Sunday, and goes until the 6th. You can follow progress on the Alberta Envirothon Facebook Page.
