The recent rain has forced Crime Prevention to extend Graffiti Wipe Out Week until next Friday.

Community Education Facilitator Rhonda Lefebvre says everyone has been in good spirits despite Mother Nature's choice of weather.

"We've worked into the evenings, sometimes until 9 o'clock. Even with the rain, we've done 16 locations and have 8 more scheduled for next week," she says. "So far, we've had 44 volunteers."

Lefebvre adds graffiti is a serious criminal offence. It's not art if you do not get permission.
