Local Mounties are investigating an alleged theft that resulted in a pursuit this morning.

Corporal Roy Kennedy says just after 9 a.m., they recieved a complaint from a business in the area of 122 Ave. and 99 Street.

"There was also a further concern expressed from the complainant that the male suspect might be under the influence and was driving around in the parking lot of the business," he says. "We tried to stop a brown Chevrolet pick up."

After refusing to stop, the 10 minute pursuit was terminated. RCMP felt it wasn't worth the risk of putting the public or themselves in danger.
