Beauty bags provide pretty things for local women on hard times
Feb 11, 2017
A local woman has been collecting small items for women in Grande prairie who have fallen on hard times.
Michelle Dacyk says Beauty Bags was created to bring pretty things to women who may be homeless, in the sex trade or of low income.
“We look for things like jewelry, hair dye, makeup, feminine products, purses, backpack are extremely popular.”
The goal is to put together 30 bags three to four times a year.
“What ends up happening is I drop off the bags with the HIV North Society and they take the bags to the lady’s luncheon and anonymously donate them on our behalf.”
