Love is in the air - it's Valentine's Day.

Plenty of people will be scrambling to get something to show their affection for their significant other today.

"Being that it's a Tuesday, we have a lot of gentleman that like their flowers to be delivered to work or to offices. So, we're a little bit heavier with that type of stuff than other years," said Lilly McMillan, Floral Manager at Freson Bros North in Grande Prairie.

McMillan adds roses and lillies are always popular choices when it comes to Valentine's flowers.

"Well, it's always roses. Roses are Valentines. We've got such a wide variety of colours," she said.

She adds chocolates and stuffed animals are also staples of Valentine's Day.

"I think it's the thought that counts," said McMillan.
